#7. Albert Einstein’s Photo: $75,000
The next autograph in our list was given by Albert Einstein, the project of a serious aura of knowledge, which arguments scientists’ views on science and the world we live in.
So, it’s no wonder that the signature he put on a snapshot in which he has his tongue out, is one of the most expensive autographs in the world.
Einstein requested a bunch of copies for this photo, but he only signed a few. The photo was took by Arthur Sasse from the United Press International news agency in 1951, on the occasion of Albert’s 72nd birthday.
Initially, all the photographer wanted was a smile from Einstein, but what resulted soon became one of the world’s most famous portraits.
Forgers tried to make money by selling similar photos with fake signatures. However, one picture with Einstein’s original autograph soon surfaced and was sold for $75,000.
