#5. Jimi Hendrix’s Contract: $200,000

Another music genius, this time was about a contract though. Most of the contracts contain terms and arrangements that are beneficial to all people or entities concerned. But not the one Jimi Hendrix signed.

He was one of the few musicians well ahead of his generation and gone from this world way too soon.  The legendary guitarist and singer died at the tender age of 27, but years after that, his dead remains covered in mystery and controversy.

In 2009, the last contract he signed fetched a whopping price of $200,000, the highest price ever paid for a contract of any kind.

The contract was signed on October 15, 1965 between the icon and PPX Enterprises Inc, the document stands to show that the guitarist was the victim of the biggest rip off of the century.

According to the contract, Jimi Hendrix would receive $1 and 1% of royalties.
