The Most Expensive Ballet Flats in the World
Haven’t you heard? These are the most expensive ballet flats in the world.
After we’ve seen all this precious high heels, it was time to make a special post about the shoes with no heels- the ballet flats.
The making of shoes can be linked with the making of a handcrafted piece of fine jewelry. And when you put these two fine arts together, something amazing will come out of it.
Like this unique pair of handmade shoes made by Josefinas, a Portuguese luxury ballet flats brand.
The flats are adorned with a nice piece of fine jewelry, handmade from Gold and Blue Topasez. The design reflects the union of these two concepts and put together forms the most expensive ballet flats in the world.
Filipa Júlio, the founder of the Josefinas brand, believes that people should look at the art of shoe making with the same contemplation that you look at a piece of art.
When asked about the process of making the shoes, Filipa says: “It has the same devotion and it has the same soul. Each piece of leather that is cut, each line that is stitched. We do everything with love and passion”.
For her “a shoe like this will shine on your feet like a precious stone shines on your finger”.
You know that saying, let me look at your shoes and I will tell you what kind of man (in our case woman) you are.
I think she believes just that.
Filipa wanted to create elegant casual footwear as a tribute to her past as a ballerina while honoring the future of modern Portuguese women.
After a year researching materials, testing and trying out different options, she created a ballerina flat adorned with a beautiful piece of fine jewelry handmade from Gold and Blue Topazes.
The making of the ballet flats was inspired by the rareness and beauty of the blue Persian salt.
The flats are the main piece of Josefinas’ most recent collection; a collection inspired by the luxurious journeys of the tales of the 1001 Nights.
The royal blue colored ballet flats and their unique pendant have a retail value of 3.369 €.
Blue Persian Salt is a homage to the Hanging Gardens of Babylon, the jewel-encrusted Jordan and the embossed swirls of Persia.
The balled flat hasn’t really changed since it became a woman’s wardrobe staple. They were even favored by style icons from Audrey Hepburn to Alexa Chung.
The ballet flats were always elegant and practical.
Josefinas amazed us all with these shoes and moreover, they are the most expensive ballet flats in the world.
The Royal Blue Colored ballet flats and their unique pendant are available exclusively at the brand’s online shop: josefinas.pt
The new line also includes the Babylon € 265 ($300), the Jordan € 289 ($327) and the Persia € 219 ($248) models.
The ballet flats are one thing every ballerina uses and loves. But they are not made just for ballerinas. You can wear them too.
Make sure you match them with cute and simple outfits for an amazing look!
