2. Barbie and the Diamond Castle – $94,800
And now we “landed” on the second place where we have another special Barbie doll.
It was introduced in Mexico City and created to promote the new Barbie movie “Barbie and the Diamond Castle”, this doll features 318 diamonds in its design.
It all started in 2008 when the movie was released. Although it went straight to video, Mattel created a promotional doll for the flick.
It also featured a diamond castle, and for a better matching they made the doll’s gown in diamonds too.
The gown had only 44 of those gems, the rest of them were the accessories that adorned the Barbie figure
However, you cannot own this doll, because it is not for sale, it was only made as a publicity stunt.
