91929 Bank of New Zealand Banknote – $11.500
The first kind of these banknotes weren’t printed until 1967.
Before 1967, New Zealand used the sterling system and the banknotes were shipped over from Europe.
The 1929 banknote is one of the first New Zealand printed banknotes.
The 1929 100 pound banknote is olive green on a multicoloured underprint and features a portrait of Maori King Tawhiao.
The date of its production is featured in the margin, along with a cancellation. The banknote is extremely rare, and went for $11.500 in December, last year.
The next bill looks so strange.
