1.Breguet Grande Complication Marie-Antoinette No 160 -at least $10 million
This is actually a reproduction watch and, yes, it can be worth $10 million! The original one, however, was intended for Marie -Antoinette.
But as the French Revolution made its way into the world, the watch’s owner changed. As a matter of fact, the watch was finished 34 years after Marie’s death.
The watch was handed over to Marie’s descendants until it finally found its place in the museum in Jerusalem. It didn’t sit there for long as it got stolen in 1983.
After Swatch bought Breguet in 1999, the company decided to start reproducing the Marie-Antoinette watch.
They started in 2005 and finally finished the model in 2008 and they managed to manufacture it 31 years faster than the original.
Now the self-winding watch is “equipped” with a minute repeater, perpetual calendar, equation of time, jumping hour, reserve indicator and bimetallic thermometer.
Although the watch is not for sale, Breguet has received several offers of at least $10 million.
