Charles Barkley, whose full name is Charles Wade Barkley, is a retired American professional basketball player and current analyst of the TV program ‘Inside the NBA’.
Nicknamed Chuck, The Round Mound of Rebound and Sir Charles, Barkley is know for his unhealthy addiction, his compulsive gambling.
The player admitted that he lost almost $10 million through gambling and $2.5 million while playing blackjack, in a 6-hour period.
He claims this addiction is not really a problem, since he can afford to support his habit.
But he changed his mind, after paying a $400.000 debt to the Wynn Las Vegas Casino.
Charles Barkley declared : ‘I’ve got to stop gambling…I am not going to gamble anymore. For right now, the next year or two, I’m not going to gamble. Just because I can afford to lose money doesn’t mean I should do it.‘
