9.1961 Ferrari 250 GT SWB California Spyder-$10.9 million
This car was sold in 2008 at RM Auction’s second annual “Ferrari Leggenda e Passione” in Maranello,Italy and the buyer was the wealthy popular British radio host Chris Evans.
Reffered to as the “Cal Spyder” the car was lighter, faster, and sportier looking than the lusher, luxurious 250 GT Cabriolet model.
Mechanically speaking, it wasn’t different from the typical Ferrari: it had tubular chassis,Scaglietti body construction of a Pinin Farina design,60-degree 3.0-liter SOHC V-12 running triple-dowindraft Weber carbs rated at 280 horsepower, four-speed manual transmission,Borrani knock-off wire wheels.
Pretty awesome for a typical Ferrari, huh?
