Diamonds Are Forever is a smooth blend of chilled Grey Goose vodka with a lime twist, served at The Ritz-Carlton, at the top of the Tokyo Midtown Tower.
The drink is poured over a flawless 1-carat diamond and the good news is that you get to keep the precious stone.
‘The inspiration for the drink came from the former hotel manager who was trying to create a ‘wow’ cocktail to complement the hotel’s other superlatives – the tallest building, the most expensive suite, the largest guest rooms,’ says The Ritz-Carlton Tokyo’s director of public relations Linda Beltran.
You can enjoy the Diamonds Are Forever on the 45th floor of the hotel, in The Lobby Lounge and Bar, a modern but traditional venue with imposing high ceilings and amber wood walls illuminated by huge inverted-gumdrop lamps designed by Frank Nicholson.
