2. Guinness “Tipping Point” – $20 million
Back in 2007, on its 80th year marketing history, Guinness launched the most expensive advertisement. This commercial is similar to Honda’s The Cog you have seen earlier. It is about assembling things in line and recording their movements in a sequence.
So, what makes that ad cost $6.5 million and this one $20 million? In The Cog, Honda assembled car parts in a secluded area. In this Guinness’s Tipping Point, they assembled 6,000 dominoes and hundreds other things to create a mega ripple.
It was all taken in a small village of Argentina. And there are hundreds of local people involved in the process. They lined up suitcases, fridges, books, cans, even cars and flaming hays. All of those are everyday things you can find in your neighborhood.
Where were those heading? What is on the end of the domino stack? A giant pint of Guinness. Take a look at this amazing creation yourself!
