11. Jaguar “British Villains Rendezvous” – $8 million
Here is another one from Super Bowl. This one is from the 2014 sport event. With estimated budget of $8 million to make, I say it is worth all the money.
It is more like a movie trailer than a short commercial. First of all, three top actors are in it. They are Sir Ben Kingsley, Mark Strong, and Tom Hiddleston. Second of all, it is action-packed! From flying airplane, having a cup of tea on a helicopter, and of course driving a fast Jaguar, this must be a creation of a movie director!
I think it is clear to see why this is one of the costliest advertisements ever made. Paying the actors is another thing. And creating such movie-like scenes is just remarkably expensive for a short ad.
