10. Kia “Matrix” – $8 million
We are still on the run for Super Bowl commercials. If you start to wonder why people make this event such a big deal, you have to go way back to understand the importance of Super Bowl, especially to American.
Back in 2014, Kia came up with an idea of new luxury. So, the company made this Matrix-themed commercial to introduce their brand new car series which embodies that particular idea. Mr. Morpheus himself starred this commercial.
Laurence Fishburne, the actor, must be paid mostly from the total $8 million budget for some scenes in this ad. When you first see the beginning part, you would think that it is going to be a serious commercial. But you cannot call it a Super Bowl commercial if it is not funny or entertaining.
So, expect some laughter from the mid-part of this ad as Mr. Morpheus rides along in the new Kia car. See it for yourself right here:
