5.Stuart Weitzman – Ruby Slippers – $1.6 Million
On number 5 we have the Ruby Slippers.
Inspired from the Wizard of Oz, the Ruby Slippers are encrusted with 123-carat 642 rare Burmese platinum rubies rubies.
The 21st century version of the Original Wizard Of Oz Ruby Slippers cost $1.6 million, and were expected to make their debut in 2003.
Due to the war in Irak, the outstanding shoes were shelved and later on unveiled at Harrod’s in London, being the second most expensive item in the shop.
Stuart Weitzman’s Ruby Slippers were never worn at any event.
