The 3 most expensive dog weddings
1. Baby Hope Diamond and Chilly Pasternak: $158,187.26
The bride was a white Coton de Tulear owned by pet lifestyle expert Wendy Diamond. The groom was a poodle from Richmond, Virginia. The black-tie gala at the Jumeirah Essex House, overlooking Central Park, had guests of more than one species, a wedding cake by the TLC show Cake Boss with a model bichon frise on top, and a pet buffet. Triumph the Insult Comic Dog officiated.
The bill was far higher than a normal wedding budget would suggest because vendors donated their work. The luxury goods and services were valued at $158,187.26, which Guinness accepted as the record. Tickets went to the Humane Society of New York.

2. Dallas Brussels griffons: about $25,000
A 2021 backyard wedding for two Brussels griffons in Dallas reportedly cost about $25,000, with the two owners splitting the bill. It is the only mid-sized US example we found.

3. Jojo and Luna, Jakarta: 200 million rupiah
In July 2023 two Alaskan Malamutes married at a dog park in North Jakarta in a Javanese-style ceremony, costing 200 million rupiah, about S$17,700. The sum covered costumes, make-up, lighting, the venue, goodie bags and gifts, and the owner said the full total was higher. The wedding grew out of a planned birthday party for one of the dogs.
How we valued it: the cost stated by the organiser and reported in local news, converted by the reporter to Singapore dollars.
Records set in 2025 and 2026
We found no new dog wedding record in 2025 or 2026. The 2012 New York event still holds the Guinness title, and a pet wedding planner quoted in earlier coverage put a simple ceremony at around $300.
What drives these costs
- Donated services. The record figure includes goods vendors gave for free.
- Guest count. Every extra guest, human or canine, needs food, seating and a costume.
- Event, not animal. The dogs do not care. The money goes into the party, venue and press.
