10. The Tesla Roadster – $101,500
Tesla’s first car, the Tesla Roadster spent four years in production between 2008 and 2012.
It was the first car to use lithium-ion batteries, and the first electric car with the ability to travel 200 miles on one charge. The Tesla Roadster can accelerate from 0-60 mph in 3.7 seconds, and it’s extremely efficient, obviously. A Roadster set the world distance record for an electric car on one charge in 2009, totalling 311 miles.
2,450 Roadsters were delivered between 2008 and 2012, and just 50 were sent to the UK. That’s probably one of the reasons why it’s one of the most expensive electric cars on the market.
