9. The Tesla Model S – $115,000
The all-electric Tesla Model S was first introduced in 2012, and it had the highest performing lithium battery at the time.
Most popular in Norway and Denmark, the Model S became 2015’s the best-selling plug-in electric vehicle in the world, and won the 2013 World Green Car of the Year. With a total output of 762 bhp, this car moves fast. If you live near one of Tesla’s supercharging stations, you can also charge it in an hour.
In Elon Musk’s words, the Model S is “designed to be a computer on wheels” and it can supposedly “learn over time” through its autopilot system.
