10. Ferrari 250 GT Berlinetta Speciale SWB ($16,500,000)
Last year on August, one Ferrari 250 GT Berlinetta Speciale SWB car was sold at $16.5 million during the Gooding & Company auction event in California, United States. It was actually sold higher than its initial estimation. So, let’s find out what makes it worth every dime according to the buyer.
Basically, this 1962 car is the same with other Ferrari 250 GT cars we have seen earlier on this list. However, the speciale word on its name does not come for nothing. This particular model was especially coach-built by the ex-Italian company, Bertone.
This special car was designed by Giugiaro. It was inspired by the legendary Ferrari’s shark-nose racing cars. That is why this car looks even more special than the rest from its class.
In terms of technical specifications, there were no significant changes made. It is still powered by a 3.0-L V12 engine with the addition of Weber Carburetors to enhance its performance.
