These particular melons are juicier and sweeter than your usual melons and are sold from $50 to $100 a piece.
So far so good, but when the features of the melon are exclusive, meaning they have a perfect round shape, a very smooth rind and other rare qualities, a pair of these melons could set you back thousands of dollars.
Usually the Yubari King Melons are given as gifts in traditional Japanese events and some of them are even auctioned due to their perfect qualities.
Such a pair of Yubary King Melons was sold for $26,000, this type of melons was sold in 2008 for their unique and rare qualities.
