Inspired by Stanley Kubrick’s film 2001: A Space Odyssey, the Dutch architect Janjaap Ruijssenaars along with Bakker Magnetics, successfully created a bed that virtually defies gravity.
But how does it work? Well, the bed is using opposing industrial-strength magnets to make it flow, and steel cables to tether the bed in place.
So you can say that for 1.6 million dollars this bed does something special. It literally floats!
To be hones, there’s an even more expensive bed out there but that one is out of reach and will probably never hit the market!
