Sikorsky Aircraft has been manufacturing this medium lift, twin-engine helicopter since 1979. It was developed from the popular Black Hawk and it belongs to the Sikorsky S-70 family.
The SH-60B Seahawk is used for many purposes like search and rescue, drug interdiction, communications relay, medical evacuation, cargo lift, anti-submarine warfare, anti-surface warfare, and special operations by the U.S Navy.
Utilizing two General Electric T700-GE-401C turboshaft engines, this helicopter can climb up 503 meters per minute until it gets to more than three thousand meters above the sea level. As for the cruise range of this helicopter is 834 kilometers and the top speed is 333 kph. It can carry five passengers or 2,724 kilograms slung load.
