9. Bell AH-1Z Viper ($30 million)
Bell AH-1Z Viper is a twin-engine, single-rotor attack helicopter which has been produced since 2000. It is a member of Zulu family, which is the only attack helicopter in the world with a fully-integrated air-to-air missile capability.
It is powered by two General Electric T700-GE-401C turboshaft engines developing 1,800 shp each. These engines bring Viper more than six thousand meters high, 685 kilometers far, and on 289 kph top speed.
And this helicopter flies with the most advanced aircraft weapons and survivability equipment in the world. Its survivability equipment includes the Hover Infrared Suppression System (HIRSS) to cover engine exhausts, countermeasure dispensers, radar warning, incoming or on-way missile warning, and on-fuselage laser spot warning systems.
Viper is currently used by U.S Marine Corps to provide rotary wing close air support, anti-armor, armed escort, armed and visual reconnaissance, and fire support coordination capabilities. And it can operate during day or night under adverse weather conditions.
