Opened in 1912, the pink-and-green hotel on Sunset Boulevard has 210 rooms and suites plus 23 bungalows. The Dorchester Collection lists a Superior Room from $1,145, a Junior Suite from $1,975 and the Beverly Hills Suite from $2,750 per night, double occupancy. A third-party listing shows a Crescent Bungalow Suite from $6,547 and a guest account mentions $4,000 for another suite, so the top end is easily four figures higher than the entry rate. Treat the bungalow numbers as reported, not official.
2. Beverly Wilshire, A Four Seasons Hotel: about $1,040
The 1928 hotel sits at the corner of Wilshire Boulevard and Rodeo Drive. A booking-site sample for a March stay showed $1,040. We saw no published suite prices.
3. The Peninsula Beverly Hills: about $986
Open since 1991, this was the first new luxury hotel in Beverly Hills in 20 years. A sample night came in at $986, and range listings show anything from $474 to $1,850, depending on date. We have no verified villa or suite rates.
4. Hotel Bel-Air: $800 to $1,300
A 103-room hotel with 45 suites set in 12 acres of gardens, run by the Dorchester Collection. A guide puts nightly rates at $800 to $1,300, and the hotel itself says rates vary by season and suite category. The guest book has included Elizabeth Taylor, Paul Newman and Grace Kelly, who had a suite named for her.
5. The Maybourne Beverly Hills: about $828
A booking snapshot showed $828 for a night, and a guide says $800 to $1,200 and up. We found no verified suite pricing.
6. Waldorf Astoria Beverly Hills: $700 to $1,000+
A guide puts the entry range at $700 to $1,000, with suites above that. Treat it as a ballpark.
7. L’Ermitage Beverly Hills: our estimate
A hotel with 116 suites on Burton Way. We found no current rate, so our $700 to $1,200 range is an estimate based on comparable suite hotels in the area.
8. Chateau Marmont: our estimate
Completed in 1929 and modelled on a French château, the hotel has 63 rooms, suites, cottages and four bungalows. It is known as a long-term home for celebrities. Our $600 to $1,000 range is an estimate, not a quote.
9. The Hollywood Roosevelt: our estimate
The Gable-Lombard penthouse is a 3,200-square-foot duplex with views of the Hollywood sign, named for Clark Gable and Carole Lombard, who used to stay there for five dollars a night. The hotel also has a Marilyn Monroe suite. Our $350 to $600 range covers standard rooms and is an estimate.
10. The Valorian Los Angeles: our estimate
Opened in 1984 as Le Mondrian and later run as the Mondrian, this West Hollywood hotel is now called The Valorian. We estimate $350 to $600, which is a guess based on its class.
What changed since the last version
Earlier versions listed the Mondrian at $2,800 and the L’Ermitage at $1,914. Neither number appears in anything we could find for 2026, and the Mondrian has since changed its name. Hotel rates also depend on the date, so one-night snapshots are a guide, not a promise.
What drives these prices
- Location. The hotels around Rodeo Drive and Sunset Boulevard charge a premium for the address.
- Bungalows and villas. Private units are priced several times higher than standard rooms.
- Season and events. Busy event weeks usually push rates up.
- History. A hotel that has hosted film stars for 80 years can charge for the story.
