Palloubet d’Halong is most valuable show jumping horse ever sold. Palloubet d’Halong was sold at age 10 to Dutch Olympic Gold Medallist Jan Tops for a record-breaking $15 million.
That’s incredibly high for a show horse and nobody expected anyone to pay that much.
The racehorse, long considered one of the world’s best show jumping talents, was initially bought for Jan Tops’ wife Edwina Tops-Alexander.
At least many people thought so. Palloubet d’Halong was in fact bought to compete for Qatar.
The expectations were that Edwina would ride the racehorse, but the rider from Qatar Al Rumaihi got the ride.
Either way the $15 Million paid assured Palloubet d’Halong a spot on the all time most expensive horses list!
