3Tokyo Dog, Seattle, WA – $169
A little more expensive than the California Capitol City Dawg, the hot dog introduced by Tokyo Dog was considered, at least by the Tokyo Dog team, the costliest hot dog in the world.
Silly guys! If only they knew which is actually the world’s most expensive hot dog and how much it costs.
The smoked-cheese hot dog sold at Tokyo Dog is served on a brioche bun and covered in Wagyu beef, foie gras, black truffles, caviar, Japanese mayonnaise, maitake mushrooms and teriyaki grilled onions in butter.
Although it costs $169, there’s a win-win situation. You get one of the world’s most valuable hot dogs, and the proceeds go to the American Red Cross.
At least that’s what the co-owner, Eugene Woo, has planned.
