The first movie of the series ends up as a part of our list because of its impressive budget ($140 million).
Directed by Gore Verbinski the movie was a big hit everywhere. Originally inspired by the Pirates of the Caribbean ride opened in Disney Land in 1967.
Also starring in the Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of the Black Pearl, Keira Knightley and Orlando Bloom.
In the movie they say the story of Captain Sparrow and blacksmith Will Turner (Orlando Bloom) as they try to rescue Elizabeth Swann (Keira Knightley) from the cursed crew of the Black Pearl.
