#6. Charlie and the Chocolate Factory -$150 Million
We can’t get enough of Tim Burton and Johnny Depp. This was the first movie starring Johnny Depp I’ve seen and because of it, I fell in love with his acting skills.
The second adaptation after Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory from 1971, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory was directed by Tim Burton and was released in 2005.
It had a big success and the $475 million made let you have no doubt about it. It’s the story of a young boy (Freddie Highmore) who wins a tour through the most magnificent chocolate factory in the world, led by the world’s most unusual candy maker (Johnny Depp).
This is why the movie is on 6th position on our most expensive Johnny Depp movies.
