4Pizza Royale 007 – Price: $4.200
Created by the Scots-born Italian Domenico Crolla, who runs the award-winning restaurant, Bella Napoli, Pizza Royale 007 is the world’s costliest pizza.
Sold for $4.200, the 12-inch pizza consists of caviar soaked in Dom Perignon champagne, lobster marinated in cognac, smoked salmon, venison medallions, vintage balsamic vinegar and prosciutto.
And above all, its topping features edible 24-carat gold flakes.
Its story began when Crolla made it in order to sell it on eBay, raising money for The Fred Hollows Foundation.
Pizza Royale 007 was bought by Maurizio Morelli, an Italian lawyer, who is also involved with collecting truffles and the finest wines.
