The newest big result is a 1972 Miura P400 SV that made $6,605,000 at Broad Arrow’s Amelia Concours auction on 7 March 2026, a record for any Miura. The ten entries below cover public sales, a private online sale and the factory prices of the rarest new cars, and each says which it is.

1. 2014 Veneno Roadster: nearly $8.3 million
Lamborghini built only nine Veneno Roadsters, each based on the Aventador and stretched to look like a fighter jet that lost an argument with a road. This one had covered about 325 km (202 miles) and still wore its factory tires. The car came with its cover, books and tools, and Bonhams sold it at the Bonmont sale in Cheserex, Switzerland, in 2019 for about $8.3 million, against a $4.5 million original price. We rank it on the converted all-in result as reported at the time.
2. 1972 Miura P400 SV: $6,605,000
The Miura is often credited as the first mid-engine supercar, and this SV was the kind collectors dream about: incredibly original and held by one American collector for more than 50 years. Estimated at $3.5 million to $4 million, it sold to a phone bidder on 7 March 2026 and beat the previous Miura auction record by more than $1.7 million. The price is the reported result at the sale.
3. 2015 Veneno Roadster: $6 million
Number two of nine, finished in matte black with lime-green accents and 1,105 miles on the clock. The Dubai dealer SBX Cars sold it online in June 2024 for $6 million, after it sat two years with a $9.5 million ask. The dealer called it the priciest car ever sold online. The 6.5-litre V12 makes 740 hp and the car does 62 mph in 2.9 seconds. The number is the reported sale price.
4. Veneno (coupe) at launch: $4 million
Introduced at Geneva in 2013 to mark the brand’s 50th birthday, the coupe launched at $4 million, which made it one of the priciest production cars in the world at the time. It is on the list as a baseline: the factory figure that later resales left in the dust.
5. Sesto Elemento: $2.92 million
In mid-2011 Lamborghini announced plans to build 20 track-only Sesto Elementos at $2.92 million each, which briefly made it the most expensive Lamborghini ever made. The plan drew little interest at that price, and the figure here is the planned price, not a sale. We include it because it shows how far the brand’s upper limit has moved since.
6. 1971 Miura SV: about $2.9 million
At a 2021 RM Sotheby’s sale, a 1971 Miura SV made €2,423,750, which was reported as the second-highest result for an SV at that point. The 2026 result above has long since passed it, which gives you a sense of the speed of Miura prices.
7. 1969 Miura P400 S: $2.59 million
A Gooding Christie’s result of $2,590,000 for the earlier P400 S. We could not confirm the sale date, so it sits here on the strength of a single reported price.
8. 1977 Countach LP400, once owned by Rod Stewart: about $0.93 million
The original Countach, the wedge that covered a generation of bedroom walls, made €775,000 at the same 2021 RM Sotheby’s sale. A famous first owner is a decent price multiplier.
9. 1985 Countach: about $654,000
A valuation database reports that a 1985 Countach sold at Broad Arrow’s Amelia Island sale in March 2025 for $654,000. That is a single-source number, so read it as roughly what a good later-series Countach makes.
10. Murciélago LP 640-4 Versace: about $180,000
The Versace edition made €149,500 at the 2021 RM Sotheby’s sale. It is the cheapest entry here, and it shows that even the end of the list sits above the price of most new cars.
