Elaprase is one of the world’s costliest legal drugs and it is used to treat a rare disease called Hunter’s syndrome.
This dangerous metabolic disorder can cause abnormal bone structure, breathing problems, vision loss, infections and worse, brain damage.
Similar to Naglazyme, Elaprase is an enzyme replacement medication given intravenously.
The treatment costs $375.000 per year. However, it does not cure this condition.
