Another Russian luxury piece is the perfect example that Russian people know what they are doing.
Russian royalty is known for always being in style. They made some spectacular things over the years, including the Faberge Imperial Table Lighter which is the second most expensive lighter in the world.
It fetched the $136,000 at Christine’s auction house in 2012. The price was higher than they first expected, because no one thought someone will spend more than 100k on a seated monkey, symbol of Russia’s art and history.
The Faberge silver table lighter is marked with the Imperial warrant and is stamped with the work master’s mark of Julius Rappaport, St Petersburg.
The shaped monkey holds its tail in its right arm while its surface simulates fur. It look pretty realistic if you ask me.
