Most Expensive Mansion in US Designed by Gigi Hadid’s Father Just Got Cheaper
The most expensive mansion in US designed by Gigi Hadid’s father just got lot cheaper.
The Palazzo di Amore, the most expensive mansion in America drops its price by $46 million.
The most expensive price tag doesn’t necessarily come with the most sought-after property name tag, just like it happened in this mansion’s case.
It looks like America’s most expensive house is facing the ugly truth and dropped its asking price by $46 million, after failing to attract any buyers.
The Palazzo di Amore, located in Beverly Hills, was once listed among the most expensive homes last year at $195 million. However, even after the bar has been lowered, it still holds the ‘most expensive’ title.
And, with a new asking price of $149million, it would still break records for the most expensive home ever sold in the U.S. if a buyer did snap it up.
That record is currently held by the 18 acre East Hampton home of hedge-fund manager Barry Rosenstein who bought it for $147million in May last year.
The current owner and real estate entrepreneur Jeff Greene purchased the mansion in 2007 for $35 million, and before putting on the market, he offered it for lease at $475,000 a month.
But now, after spending year expanding the Mediterranean-style mansion, the looks of the place have improved and he is asking for $149 million for it.
For $149 million the future owner will have more than 35,000 square feet of living space, and mansion’s total floor space is about 53,000 square feet. That’s because of the detached guesthouse that an entertainment complex Greene has added.
The property, set on 25 acres and located in Beverly Hills was designed by Gigi Hadid’s father Mohammed Hadid.
Gigi’s father is an expert at large-scale projects, and opted to give Mr Greene’s home a 15,000sqft entertainment complex, including a ballroom, bowling alley and 250-seat theater.
He has designed the property to have 12 bedrooms and 23 bathrooms.
The mansion’s entrance is lined by 70-year-old olive trees that also lead to the entertainment complex, which can accommodate up to 250 dinner guests.
The complex is 15,000-square-foot and has a 50-seat theater, a bowling alley and a ballroom with revolving floor, a DJ boot and a laser-light system.
The Palazzo di Amore mansion also has its own private-label vineyard called Beverly Hills Vineyards, which produces 400 to 500 cases of wine a year.
And yea, the place comes with a two wine cellars; one can store 3,000 and the other can hold about 10,000 bottles.
The luxury doesn’t end here. It can be seen in a form of a 128-foot reflecting pool and fountain, a waterfall, a swimming pool, a spa, a barbecue area and a tennis court.
This property has everything, from his vineyard, space in the wine cellar, 12 bedrooms, 23 bathrooms, and a 27-car GARAGE.
The home is decked with bespoke features and according to Forbes a Peruvian woodcarver was kept on site for four months to hand-carve the fireplace mantels.
Visitors can exit the complex via a floating-style, glass-floor pathway, which sits over several swimming pools lined by 70-year-old olive trees.
