#5 1929 38/250 SSK – $7.4 Million
Sold by British auction house Bonhams, over ten years ago, back in 2004, this car is a bit different than what we’ve talked about so far. How so?
Well, as many of you might know, the 1929 car was an engineering phenomenon at the time it was manufactured.
Of course, it was also very successful in racing at its time, so you can see why this car is so expensive and unique. It represents an era of the Mercedes company, a good time for them; it’s part of the history.
As expected, there are only a few of them left in this world, so it is understandable why these cars sell for so much money at auctions.
We can’t wait to see what the price of the next car will be!
