The 26 million dollar helicopters were created in 1980 for the use in the United States Navy being armed with a variety of systems capable of all kinds of warfare.
The Kaman SH-2G Super Seasprite is a large helicopter who can transport up to 8 passengers less than other similar size helicopters.
With an altitude ceiling of 14600 feet this is a unique helicopter designed for ship based landings because its main use is in the navy and all the air support needed in the places where carriers are found.
With a bigger fuel tank than other large helicopters but a smaller cruise speed this particular aircraft was designed to have support for several types of enemy threats.
The main description of the tasks which are assigned to it can include anti-submarine, anti-surface threat, over-the-horizon targeting and anti surface ships.
