Leonardo DiCaprio Owns the Most Expensive Movie Poster Ever!

4) The Black Cat(1934) – $334,600

Edgar G. Ulmer was the director of the second appearance of Karloff/Lugosi horror film “The Black Cat” from 1934.

This time, it was a Style B poster, which fetched a whopping price of $334,600 in 2009.

It was part of Todd Feiertag’s famous collection, from which the #2 item in this list was also taken. Interestingly, this poster for “The Black Cat” was reportedly previously unseen by the public until the auction and, like “The Bride of Frankenstein,” is the only known example of this style.

The poster is now ranked 4 on our list of the priciest movie posters.
