Nicole Kidman was quite a risk-taker at the 2008 Academy Awards. Although she opted for a simple, black Balenciaga dress, her statement $7 million diamond necklace was custom-made just for her by L’Wren Scott.
The spectacular 1,400 carats diamond necklace “Sautoir” is a creation with a rare combination of rough and polished diamonds and a wide range of shapes and cuts encompasses a total of 7,645 diamonds including rough, faceted and polished diamonds. Each diamond was individually selected by the designer to fit together into an overall design.
The necklace is designed in a truly unique way. It has been imported from Belgium and the intricate design required over 6,200 man hours to craft it to perfection.
