4. Baccarat Les Larmes Sacrees de Thebes ($6,800 per fl. oz.)
Here is another collectible item from Baccarat. Les Larmes Sacrees de Thebes literally means The Sacred Tears of Thebes. Since it was launched in 1998, it caught people’s attention and it was once the world’s most expensive fragrance.
It comes in a handmade Baccarat pyramid bottle. And that represents the Egyptian ancient city called Thebes. It is capped by Amethyst crystal with bubbles of yellow crystal blown inside it. That is what we call a masterpiece of art.
It was sold at Harrods in a small bottle of 7.5-ml volume (around 0.25 fl. oz.). Each of them was bundled with a $1,700 price tag. It means that Les Larmes Sacrees de Thebes is worth $6,800 per fluid ounce.
What does the sacred tears of Thebes smell like?
Christine Nagel designed this unique scent. It is a combination of myrrh, Ylang-Ylang, jasmine, and geranium. Its most dominant notes are frankincense, amber, and sandalwood with a little twist of cardamom, basil, myrtle, and musk.
