Top 10 Most Expensive Pet Accessories in the World

The most expensive pet accessory ever made is a diamond and emerald dog tiara valued at $4.2 million, created by a Thai jeweler in 2009 for his Maltese. It was never a shop-shelf item, so this list mixes one-off showpieces, record-setting pet homes and things you can actually buy, ranked by the highest price we could verify as of October 2026. Where an entry is a designer’s valuation and not a completed sale, we say so.

1. Diamond and emerald dog tiara: $4.2 million

Riwin Jirapolsek, a jeweler in Bangkok, made a titanium tiara set with about 250 carats of diamonds and emeralds and showed it at a dog show in 2009. It was made for his Maltese, Kanune. A tiara that small can only be a stunt, and as far as we can tell it was never offered for sale, which means the $4.2 million is the designer’s valuation, not money that changed hands.

We still put it first because it is the biggest number attached to any pet accessory in the record, and we flag it as a valuation. Lower down the table, everything is a price you could actually pay.

2. Amour Amour diamond dog collar: $3.2 million

This one is a piece of high jewelry that happens to go round a neck. The Amour Amour carries about 52 carats of diamonds, more than 1,600 hand-set stones around a centerpiece of about 7 carats, set in platinum and white gold on crocodile leather. It was reported in 2010 with a price of $3.2 million and has been called the Bugatti of dog collars ever since.

We did not find a report of a buyer, so the figure is the reported launch price. We counted it at that value but marked it as a listing, not a sale.

3. Barkingham Palace: about $385,000

The most expensive pet home on the record books is a kennel designed by British architect Andy Ramus in 2008 and valued at £250,000, about $385,000 at the time. It came with a retina-controlled dog flap, a plasma TV and temperature control. Other outlets quote $400,000 to $417,000, which most likely reflects different exchange rates. Our dollar number is the figure given by the record-keeper.

4. Paris Hilton’s dog mansion: $325,000

Paris Hilton’s dogs live in a custom house of roughly 300 square feet that was reported to cost $325,000. A similar backyard house from the same custom builder is quoted at about $9,000, which gives you a sense of how much of the price is celebrity and scale. The figure is a media-reported build cost. We treat it as an estimate.

5. BNY Toxic dog collar: up to $4,785

The cheapest-sounding thing in the top five is the first one you can actually order. The Swedish-designed leather collar with decorative stones is made to order and ranges from about $3,300 to $4,785, and a matching leash adds about $1,400. We used the top of the listed range.

6. Louis Vuitton Monogram Sac Chien 40: about $1,800 to $2,095

The fashion house sells dog carriers in its monogram canvas, and the Sac Chien 40 is the one that shows up most often on resale sites at $1,800 to $2,095. We do not have a current new price from the brand, so this entry rests on resale listings and should be read as a market range.

7. Hermès dog carriers: about $1,650 to $1,995

Hermès makes carriers with names like TouTou and Sac de Transport. Resale listings in good condition run from about $1,650 to just under $2,000 (one TouTou was marked down from $1,995 to $1,596). As with the Vuitton bag, it is a secondhand market range, because new pricing is not published for this item.

8. Thebes pet bed: $1,545

Named after the Egyptian city, this plush bed from a US home-goods label sells for $1,545. It is the plainest entry on the list: a nice dog bed with a good price tag. For comparison, a leather cube bed from another maker is listed at $1,070 to $1,889, so the Thebes sits in the middle of the high-end range.

9. Hermès Étrivère III dog collar: $1,000

Natural bridle leather and a stirrup buckle: this is the brand’s saddle-shop material cut down for a dog. Retail check prices put it around $1,000, with the Rocabar III at about $900. We took $1,000 as the headline price.

10. Louis Vuitton dog collar: $500 to $630

The entry-level way into designer pet gear. The brand’s own site lists the PM collar at $500 and the MM at $630, and the collars can be hot-stamped with a name. It is the cheapest ticket onto this list, and a clever way to spend $500 on something that will be chewed.

Records set in 2025 and 2026

We found no verified new record price for a pet accessory in 2025 or 2026. The top-of-the-list items are older showpieces. What changed is the retail layer: Hermès and Louis Vuitton now list pet collars at $500 to $1,000 on their sites, and the carriers circulate on resale sites near $2,000.

What drives these prices

  • Stones, not dogs. The top two entries are jewelry by weight: carats of diamonds and platinum.
  • Publicity. A tiara for a Maltese is a press release in the shape of a hat.
  • Brand tax. The fashion houses charge human-accessory prices for a collar that a dog will chew by spring.
  • Scale. A kennel with a TV and climate control is priced like a small house because it is built like one.
