An expensive luxurious car for most rappers is a way to make a statement. Just like the huge golden pendants on their neck or a piece of diamond drilled into their tooth.
Their preference in spending most of their earnings on luxurious things can bite them back. In some cases, it had. Rappers are also commonly known for owing huge amount of tax and few of them had to let go off their belongings as they were repossessed.

10. Maybach 57 ($417,402)
If you have seen Jay-Z and Kanye West’s music video Otis, you might notice them tearing apart a $350,000 Maybach 57. Inspite of, that dismembered vehicle was sold at $60,000 during New York Contemporary Art Evening auction.
Maybach is one of the most popular car brands among rappers. Rick Ross seems to agree on that. This Diddy’s first rap artist owns a Maybach 57 S. He seems to be even more inspired by the car, since he named his own record label after the brand, Maybach Music Group in 2009.
Rick Ross’s Maybach 57 S costs around $430,000 in 2008. After the discontinuing of Mercedes-Maybach, Rick Ross believes that the car’s price will only go even higher.
The Maybach 57 S (S stands for Special) uses a 6.0-L version of the V12 engine manufactured by Mercedes-AMG. Its 450 kilowatts power output provides a sub-five second sprint to 60 miles per hour.
9. Spyker C8 Aileron ($500,000)
Up next in our rappers car list is a car owned by a five times Grammy nominated rapper, Akon. Although its suggested retail price is less than $300,000, Spyker C8 Aileron is sold around $500,000 due to high demand.
In 2012, Akon had his Spyker C8 customized (with all yellow interior) and he said this is his favorite ride among his car collections. He didn’t change the exterior much. He just added the Savini Forged SV-29s Centerlock wheels.
This model of Spyker C8 debuted in 2009. It features 4.2 L V8 Audi engine with 298 kilowatts (400 horsepower). It goes as fast as 187 miles per hour.
Spyker company has aviation heritage. You can see it on the C8 Aileron. It features cues from second-generation aircraft propulsion highlighting the turbine blade rather than the propeller.
8. Lamborghini Murcielago ($510,000)
Lamborghini is one of the world’s most popular luxurious sport car brands. This particular model of Lamborghini, Murcielago, caught 50 Cent’s attention. It was produced by the Italian automaker from 2001 to 2010.
50 Cent, or Curtis Jackson III, made the term Get Rich or Die Tryin’ popular. It was the title of his first major recording album produced by Dr. Dre and Eminem.
His neon blue Lamborghini Murcielago is definitely the proof that he got rich. This $510,000 sport car is a 2-door coupe all-wheel drive feature. The engine is 6.5 L V12 (670 horsepower) with 6-speed e-Gear semi-automatic or manual transmission.
The name Murcielago comes from Spanish bat. But Lamborghini named this model after the star of the bullfighting world. It is their tradition. The fighting bull, Murcielago, survived 24 sword strokes in an 1879 fight.
7. Rolls Royce Phantom Drophead ($533,000)
The Rolls-Royce Phantom Drophead Coupé is currently the most expensive Rolls-Royce model. Its price in 2015 is $533,000 per unit. This model debuted in 2007.
This Rolls-Royce model features the V12 6,749 cc (412 cu in) engine with 6-speed automatic transmission. The exterior features marine-nautical theme of the 100EX. The 2-door 4-seat convertible features rearward opening coach doors.

In 2008, this Maybach 62 Laundulet’s price was approximately $1.4 million. This model was produced in a very limited amount. There are only 8 units produced and Birdman owns one of them.
The Maybach 62 Landaulet revives the classic landaulet car body style. This particular style was popular in the 1920s and 1930s. The Laundulet is powered by the 62S’s 612-horsepower (456 kW) biturbo V12 engine.
The Landaulet’s front seats are fully enclosed and separated from the rear passenger compartment by a power divider window. You get to electronically control the opacity of this partition. Sweet. In addition, it features a sliding soft roof which allows back-seat passengers to take in the sun from the comfort of their seats.
4. Bugatti Veyron ($1.5 million)
The next rappers car collection comes from Bugatti. This Bugatti Veyron was designed and developed in Germany by Volkswagen before manufactured in France, the home of Bugatti.
Even though this car is not the most expensive rappers car, Bugatti Veyron is definitely the most popular one. Drake, as seen on the picture, is not the only rapper who decided to own this Grand Tourer car. Alongside him are Birdman, Flo Rida, Lil Wayne, and The Game.
The Bugatti Veyron is powered by 8.0 L (488 cu in) W16 quad-turbocharged 1,014 PS (746 kW; 1,000 bhp) engine with 7-speed DSG automatic transmission.
An interesting fact about this particular Bugatti car was shared by the famous Top Gear’s host, Jeremy Clarkson. He said that the actual production cost of a Bugatti Veyron car was £5 million ($7.5 million), but was sold to customers for just GB£1 million ($1.5 million). When asked why, he jokingly said that Volkswagen designed the car merely as a “Technical Exercise”.
3. Pagani Zonda Roadster ($1.9 million)
Next up on our million dollars rappers car collection, we have Jay-Z’s Pagani Zonda Roadster. The car was one of the world’s most expensive as it was first debuted in 1999 with $1.9 million bundled price.
Like Lamborghini, Pagani is also an Italian automaker. Juan Manuel Fangio, former Formula 1 champion, was involved in the engineering process of the Zonda model. Originally, this model of Pagani was going to be named after him, Fangio F1. However, after his death in 1995, the name became Zonda.
Pagani Zonda is a Supercar with 7.3 L AMG V12 engine that features 6-speed sequential or manual transmission. It also comes in 2-door berlinetta or 2-door roadster with rear-wheel drive.
Jay-Z didn’t seem to drive around a lot with his Pagani Zonda Roadster. But he did show off his sweet ride on one of his music video, Show Me What You Got. The video also features female car racer, Danica Patrick.
2. Lamborghini Veneno ($4 million)
Another masterpiece from the Italian automaker, Lamborghini Veneno. Another one owned by Birdman. This 2013-2014 model is sold for $4.5 million per unit. It made it the most expensive car ever manufactured that year.
Lamborghini Veneno was built in a very limited edition to celebrate Lamborghini’s 50th anniversary. There were only 5 of them manufactured. Two of them were for the company itself. They were displayed but retained by the factory for the museum. And another three were sold for customers, including Birdman.
This model is powered by 6.5 L V12 engine which features 7-speed semi-automatic transmission. It is an all-wheel drive that comes in 2-door coupé or 2-door roadster.
In 2014, they produced the Veneno Roadster for 9 units. It has a top speed of 356 km/h (221 mph) and goes from 0–100 km/h (0–62 mph) in 2.9 seconds.
1. Maybach Exelero ($8 million)
We come to the most expensive car in rappers car collection today. It is Jay-Z’s $8 million Maybach Exelero. He showed off his super expensive ride in one of his music videos, Lost One.
Actually, Birdman also planned to own this expensive ride long before Jay-Z does. But he still owes money for his other expensive rides. Until today, there has been no news about him possessing his pre-ordered Exelero.
The Maybach Exelero is a high-performance unique sports car built in 2004. It is powered by 700 horsepower (522 kW) four-seater with a twin turbo V12 engine.
