At a minimum order of $270 per person you better bring your check book and your appetite!

Aragawa is certainly not known for its decor.

Actually, there is no entrance. I would claim, however, that this only increases the restaurant’s pretense.
There is no menu. The waiter will simply recite the chef’s selections for the day and you would be ask to choose two seafood plates from five that are available.
Like an exclusive club, the restaurant’s location suggests that only a few are lucky enough to know about what Forbes magazine called in 2006 the most expensive restaurant in the world. But prices aside, this basement retreat is known for something else: the fattiest, juiciest, and most tender Kobe beef in the world.
Aragawa’s steak will make a vegetarian renounce his beliefs.

1.Masa, New York – $450
Masa is considered one of the most expensive restaurant in the world, located at the TimeWarnerCenter in New York.
The menu is just Omakase, which cost $450 per person, not including drinks, tax or tip.
To get there, you must do a reservation because there are only 26 available seats. The Chef, is Masa Takayama.
He will welcome you, as he does to every guest who enters the restaurant and he is the one who prepares the menu, including seasonal ingredients.
Because there is no menu, Chef Masa keeps a record of what he has served to his customers.
