6. Black Tot British Royal Navy Imperial: $3,000
This rum was first served by the British Royal Navy to English sailors in Jamaica.
It was specially made for His Majesty armed men exclusively. In the 1900s the ration was reduced as a major part of British naval life and in 1970 was abandoned for good.
This was the end of a more than 300 years of tradition on a day known today as “Black Tot Day”. The Black Tot Days was on July 31st, and now the British soldiers perform their duties entirely sober.
To commemorate 40 years since “Black Tot Day” the last reserves of the remaining stock were re-bottled in 2010 under the mark, “Black Tot: Last Consignment” – and from there you see the $3,000 price tag.
