6. Athena ($70 million)
Built by Netherlands’ Royal Huisman for James H. Clark twelve years ago, Athena is what they call a clipper-bowed three-masted gaff rigged schooner. Even though it was estimated to worth around $95 million, it is currently on sale for €62.42 million only (around $70 million).
Athena’s exterior was designed by Pieter Beeldsnijder (in collaboration with Dykstra Naval Architects) and the interior was by Rebecca Bradley. It can carry up to ten guests inside five exclusive cabins. And to cater those guests’ needs, twenty one crews can get on board.
This spectacular boat features dive locker, library, on-board Jacuzzi, and movie theater. Above all, a crow’s nest with 360-degree bird’s eye view is available for you to make sure the boat doesn’t hit the iceberg.
This sailboat is powered by two 2,000-hp Caterpillar engines which can take you up to 19 knots on water. And the size is 90 meters for length and 12.2 meters for beam. This fact put Athena as the world’s fifth largest sailboats.
