10. Vertigo ($50 million)
I’m not sure if the name represents this expensive sailboat literally. I hope not, because having to struggle with seasickness will be handful enough without vertigo.
What I know for sure, its 67-meter length puts Vertigo as the world’s ninth largest sailboat. And it is currently the largest one built in Southern Hemisphere by Alloy Yachts, New Zealand, since it was launched in 2011.
The exterior was designed by Philippe Briand. And the interior was by Christian Liaigre Interior Design. It features urban-at-sea ambiance with its loft-style interior. You can tell from its sleek surfaces and furniture with natural black-and-white leather or tan linen.
It can carry up to twelve guests. When the wind is blowing hard, those guests should not worry. Glass screens are installed to protect them from it while they are sunbathing.
The cost to build this boat is estimated to be $50 million. There is no disclosed document regarding this or the boat’s technical features either.
