I honestly was impressed when I saw such an old movie reach this list of the most expensive screenplays ever sold, but here it is!
Tom Schulman is responsible for the expensive script and he sold it for the fantastic total of 3 million dollars!
Unfortunately, the movie wasn’t a success at all. With a budget of 40 million dollars, the movie only managed to earn about 45 million dollars. At least we have to congratulate Tom Schulman for getting that much money on the script for a mediocre movie.
