On July 1, 2014, on eBay, a vintage snowboard appeared and it became the focal point of the snowboard industry. The 1977 vintage Burton snowboard fetched $31.313.13.
The product was sold by Vintage Winter, a ski and snowboard company dating back to 2003, best known for selling the finest antique and vintage ski and snowboard equipment in the history of snowboarding.
‘We have not sold a board for this much before, and we believe this to be the most a board has ever sold for.
Kids and young adults who started snowboarding in the 80s, 90s and 00s, are now in their peak earning years, and some may be looking back at the fun they had and collecting pieces of history from that era.’ declared Jeff Hume, a representative for Vintage Winter.
