4- Apollo Soyuz Spacesuit – $242,000
On number four we have another important item, because without it, our astronauts could not perform the moon landing in perfect safety.
This is one of the few times when Americans and the Soviet Union worked together. The two of them were already in a never-ending battle for supremacy.
But working together proved to be important and benefit them both. They developed the Shuttle-Mir program and the International Space Station.
They chose Russian cosmonaut Alexei Leonov to try the suit and wore during the 1975 Soyuz mission.
It was the first time that Americans and Soviets met in space. The suit sold for $242,000 in May 2011.
