7. Mercedes-Benz G-Class ($217,900)
We are looking at probably the best and most certainly the highest priced SUV from Mercedes-Benz, the G-Class. Just looking at that beast on the picture above, I drool and crave for driving it on and off road.
Before I make that dream come true, I need at least £88,800 to bring the cheapest version home. But that may not be enough. The best version of this car comes with a 5.5-L, 32-valve V-8 engine. And that one is attached to $217,900 price tag.
The G-Class car is designed to survive any conditions outside. Its four-wheel drive system can distribute torque through three different locks. The front, center, and rear lock can be engaged individually to maximize traction.
In addition to that, it features 4ETS (4-wheel Electronic Traction System). So, in case one tire loses traction, this system will sense it and immediately applies brake to that particular wheel. Awesome, isn’t it? And as long as you have at least one wheel with grip on the ground, you will not lose power since the engine torque will be entirely channeled to it.
