The Most Expensive Taco is a $25,000 Pleasure You Can Only Afford Once!
Would you want to eat the most expensive taco? The priciest taco was released at the new Grand Velas Los Cabos and will cost you $25,000.
You can have it at the resort’s Frida restaurant which brings the culinary masterpiece by using only premium ingredients such as langoustine, Kobe beef, Almas Beluga caviar, and black truffle brie cheese.
On top there is an exotic salsa made of dried Morita chili peppers, Ley.925 ultra-premium añejo tequila and civet coffee.
Holding all together is a gold-flake infused corn tortilla. Now that’s how you make a taco!
For the taco to be even tastier and fancy, the Grand Velas Los Cabos Resort suggests a handcrafted white gold and pure platinum bottle of Ley.925 Pasión Azteca Ultra-Premium Añejo, which you can enjoy for extra $150,000.
Made by the resort’s exclusive chef Juan Licerio Alcala, who comes from Durango, Mexico, the home of tacos, this taco has been one special taco.
The restaurant is opened for dinner daily, so if you want to make reservation you must do it in advance.
The place includes luxury suite accommodation if you are worried about the comfort, a la carte gourmet meals at a variety of specialty restaurants, premium branded beverages, 24-hour in-suite service, fitness center, nightly entertainment, tax and gratuities, and much more.
So you don’t have to come especially for the taco, you can enjoy everything Grand Velas has to offer.
Located between Cabo San Lucas and San Jose del Cabo, the place has 304 ocean-view suites, all over 1,180 square feet, with private terraces and some personal plunge pools.
Plus, the duplex wellness suites have designated wellness features and in-suite juice bars.
“Our ultimate goal at Grand Velas Los Cabos is to break the mold of expected, traditional cuisine and go outside of the box for our well-traveled guests,” says Alcala. “The taco is just the first of such exciting experiences that we plan to roll out in the coming months.”
Resort rates start at $750 per person per night in double occupancy.
