And yeah, you read that right: It’s $1.2 Million per kilo!
According to a legend, the mother of a Ming Dynasty emperor was cured of an illness by a certain tea, and that emperor sent great red robes to clothe the four bushes from which that tea originated.
This tea is a very rare one and now it can hardly be found for sale, and that may be one of the explanations of the huge price of it.
Not only there are no seeds to grow it around the world the only limited supply that is guarded like a state secret is in such small portion that it will probably never see the light of day!
Although scarcity is an important factor in price driving that tea better at least cure cancer or hold the secret to immortality otherwise it’s not worth it!
