7. Duke University, North Carolina ($68,484)

Among nearly 15,000 students of Duke University, there are several of them who are obligated to pay $68,484 tuition fee. They are the students of JD/LLM program at the university’s School of Law.

When it was first founded in 1838, Duke University was actually located in Trinity. Then several decades later in 1892, it was moved to where it is today, Durham, North Carolina, United States. Location is not the only thing that changed. The university’s name did as well. It was first called the Brown’s Schoolhouse. Only after 1924, it is finally called the Duke University.

Based on World University Ranking, Duke University is currently ranked 24th. And it sits on rank 35th of Forbes’s Best U.S College for International Students list.

In terms of achievement, Duke University has been affiliated with three Turing Award winners and ten Nobel Laureates. In addition to that, some of its notable alumni are Apple’s Timothy Donald Cook and Braveheart’s Randall Wallace.
