3- Beatles’ “Yesterday and Today” album (1966)
Price: $38,800
I’m sure you’ve heard about the English rock band formed in Liverpool in the ‘60s. And of course, you remember its members: John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr.
The four quickly became the greatest and most influential act of the rock era.
And so, when a copy of their album surfaces, you should expect to fetch thousands of dollars.
The same happened in 1996, when a copy of “Yesterday and Today” album sold for $38,800.
Ok, but why that much money? The reason for the price was its pristine condition and the butcher cover.
Because they had to pose in white butcher smock, draped with pieces of meat and parts of plastic dolls, this album’s price is so high.
The one who insisted that this photo should be used for the U.S. album cover was “The Beatles” member, John Lennon.
But that only made people hate the cover.
